Course Description
This course will cover tax law changes for individual and businesses from
the 2017 Tax Cuts Act and Jobs Act, as well as the Bipartisan Budget Act of
2018. Discussion topics include the extenders, changes to health insurance,
HSA and HRA requirements, updates on retirement issues and due diligence
for tax professionals. In addition we will discuss the new §199A, changes
to business entities, accounting methods, employee benefits and net
operating losses.
OUR SPEAKER
Anita Robinson has been in the accounting and tax preparation business for over 20 years. Enrolled Agent since 1996, an Advanced Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor since 2007, Anita has been a member of Intuit’s Advisor & Customer Council and, has served as a Writing Committee Member for the Oregon Licensed Tax Consultants, Oregon Licensed Tax Preparers, as well as, the IRS Enrolled Agent exams.
Anita has taught tax classes for the National Society of Tax Professionals, as well as the Oregon Association of Tax Consultants, Oregon Society of Tax Consultants and the Washington State Tax Consultants. In addition, she works on the NSTP tax helpline year-round answering tax questions for tax professionals from all over the country. Since January of 2012 Anita has been organizing a networking group for accounting and tax professionals in the Vancouver, WA area. These meetings encourage education on tax and accounting topics, as well as, practice management and data security issues.
Anita is a member of the National Society of Tax Professionals (NSTP), the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP), the National Association of Accountants (NSA), the National Association of Enrolled Agents NAEA), as well as the Oregon chapter of NAEA.
